Bill’s Best Brisket Rub

Melanie said it was the best brisket she’s ever had. We came to find out the only thing special about the prep or the cooking was the rub. We got a copy and here it is for posterity.


1/2 cup ground black pepper (maybe cut back to 1/4)
1/4 cup paprika
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon celery salt
1 tablespoon chili powder
2-3 teaspoons garlic powder
2-3 teaspoons onion powder

Mix well. Pack it on the brisket before low, slow cooking.
